Activities

So what makes Pelican Point “a stay with a difference”?

The climate for East Coast Tasmania is quite temperate, so there is plenty to do, all year round.  The spectacular beach goers above are just some of the amazing wildlife you can encounter right here on the property.   You really need to spend some time and wander around our many walking tracks, and discover for yourself just what is so different about staying with us.

As well as the wildlife, we offer our guests a wide variety of free activities. We have something for everyone!

FREE ELECTRIC TRICYCLES

Take one of our electric tricycles out for a spin. You can ride into St Helens and along Georges Bay, or just potter around the property.

Feeding Our Friendly Ducks.

We have our own friendly family of ducks who wander from dam to dam through out the day, They will often wander up behind the reception area of a morning or afternoon looking for a guest to feed them.

NATURE WALKS

Take the time to walk our many tracks, or just take a picnic basket and go down and sit quietly near the waterways and see if you can spot an Aussie icon – the unusual platypus. Not many people get to see these shy mammals in their natural surroundings, but they are right here in the waterways of the sanctuary.
